Sweet Random Pictures

Sometimes I look at Collin and can't believe how big he has gotten. He went from being a tiny 4 lb 12 oz baby to now nearly 16 lbs!! I realize 16 lbs isn't all that big- but compaired to the 4 lbs it's huge! HaHa!

I love this little boy more than I could ever explain. Just look at that sweet face...
Carrots EVERYWHERE! Collin likes to put his hands in his mouth after he takes a bite. It is a MESS!

On a walk with Mommy! He never makes it very long without going to sleep.

We just graduated up to a bigger carseat. When we stop at red lights or anything, I turn around to check on him. This is usually what I see! Him looking up over the back of his seat at me! Sweet Boy!
Oh, I do have that mirror that goes on the back of the headrest so I can see him through the rear-view mirror, but sometimes it's just not enough. I have to turn and look! :)

Father's Day (a little late)

I realize I’m almost a month late, but really wanted to write about Father’s Day. This was Eric’s first Father’s Day. I wanted to make it special. Collin and I are very blessed to have Eric. He works hard to provide for our family. He is a true blessing.

The day before Father's Day we went to Benton to see Eric's dad. We had a great visit with them! I can't wait for Collin to be able to swim in their pool with us!

Eric, Collin, and Jack (Eric's Dad)

We started our Sunday with a big breakfast. I made Eric his favorite breakfast! Then we got ready for church.

After church we stopped by my parents house for a little photo session!

On the swing in the backyard!

Telling Pa "Happy Father's Day!"

Then, we had a relaxing afternoon at home. Such a wonderful day!

Eric, in just a few short months (6 to be exact) you have become so much more confident with Collin. We both can tell you love him so much. Thank you for being a wonderful Daddy!

Day 1 being a father

Happy Father’s Day Eric! Collin and I both love you so very much!

Granny and Poppa

 Dear Collin,

Your great grandparents (Granny and Poppa Hunt) love you so much! They have wanted to see you since you were born. They haven’t been in good health lately. In fact, Granny has fallen a couple of times. Daddy and I have really wanted to take a trip to see them. Every year for the 4th of July, Daddy’s side of the family all goes to Granny and Poppa’s house for lunch. We couldn’t miss this opportunity to show you off! You were the highlight of the day
So, Monday for the 4th, we made our trip to Hot Springs to see everyone. Poppa didn’t want to share you very much! He got some good lovin’ from you! Granny was so happy to hold you! You gave her some slobbery kisses on the cheek! It was precious.

When we got there, Poppa called us into the bedroom. He had a present for you! Daddy and I were in shock when he handed us a check for you. To be honest, I’m still in shock! Wow!

He also gave us some pictures of Granny and him when they met, and then some recent ones. They wrote you a letter too. It was all so precious. They love you so much. They want you to use the money to go to college. Our family is so fortunate to have them around. They are so wonderful.
One day, these letters and pictures are going to mean a lot to you. I can’t wait for the day when you can put your money to good use.

According to your Daddy, you won’t need any college tuition money because he is convinced you will have an athletic scholarship of some sort. We will see! If so, I would hope you would use this money to get a car, or even put a down payment on a house. Use it wisely sweet boy! Checks like this don’t come around very often!
I love you.
Mommy

Seven Months!

*You weigh around 15 1/2 pounds I have no idea how long you are because you will not stay still long enough for me to measure!

*You aren’t crawling yet. When we lay you on your tummy, or you roll to your tummy, you push your arms down and stretch your back out. If only you would get your knees up under you, you would be in the perfect position to crawl! Maybe by the end of the summer?

*We are working on sitting alone. You do well for a few seconds, but loose your balance and fall. You have done a couple of nose dives! (oops! Sorry- Mommy wasn’t fast enough to catch you!)

*When it comes to clothing, you are all over the board! You wear some 0-3 month stuff (shorts mostly), you wear 3-6 month onesies, and you have some outfits that are 6 month. All of your 6-9 month clothes are WAY too big!

*You are still wearing size 3 diapers.

*You are such a happy baby! You very rarely cry. You start to get a little fussy the closer it gets to bedtime. You also lose patience with Mommy when I take to long getting ready to nurse you.

*You are sleeping great! A couple nights of “Cry It Out Boot Camp”, and you are sleeping better than ever! You go down around 7:00-7:30 each night and wake up around 6. You are taking around 3-4 naps a day. Two long and two short cat naps.

*Every morning you wake up around 6 am and I nurse you. You have two 5 oz bottles (that Mommy has pumped) during the day, and baby food around lunch time. I nurse you again when we get home. Then, you eat a veggie for dinner around 6:00. Most of the time, you like to nurse just a little more before bed at 7:30 pm.

*You love your food. You lean into the spoon just as fast as you can. For breakfast you like fruits with rice cereal mixed in. You aren’t very fond of the fruits with oatmeal- I guess the texture is weird. You also like just plain fruits like bananas and apples. For dinner, I haven’t found anything you don’t like. You have tried: carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and squash.

*One of our favorite things is when Mommy or Daddy is holding you and someone smiles really big at you. You turn and bury your head into our shoulder. You smile so big! You have a cute little shy side to you! You always turn back around to see if they are still standing there though!

*You still love to put EVERYTHING in your mouth.

*You love it when people sing to you. Your favorite song is still “You are my Sunshine.” It is precious how you stare at Mommy when I sing it to you.

*You have started reaching for people (mostly for Mommy and Daddy), but you reached for your Great Grandpa Poppa the other day. It made him smile so big! Speaking of your great grandparents- Your Daddy’s grandparents (Granny and Poppa) gave you a BIG present on the 4th of July. I will be blogging about that very soon! You are loved so much!

*You are still a very content baby, unless you're tired or hungry.

*You LOVE Kyndall! You will follower her with your eyes all around the room. I can’t wait till you can play with her. She loves you VERY much. The first thing she always asks me when I see her is “What’s Collin doing?” Precious.

*When you're nursing and Daddy comes into the room and starts talking. You completely stop eating to focus on him. Then when he leaves you go back to eating. Sometimes we have to kick him out just so you will eat again! You love your Daddy!

*You like being outside. Pa and LeLe have a swing in their backyard. If the mosquitoes aren’t too bad we like to go out there and swing. It will be super nice when the weather cools off a little bit.

*You started Day Care this month. It has been REALLY hard for Mommy. You seem to do great with it though. This past week you even got a “cheerful” on your ‘report card’ as Daddy likes to call it.

*Daddy has also started picking you up every day. This gives you both some quality time together. Daddy picks you up everyday around 3:30 and takes you home.

Collin,
I have no idea how our lives were fun at all before you. We love to watch you grow and learn. You are developing a wonderful personality. You are just the sweetest thing ever. We love you very much!! You are now closer to being one year old than you are to being a newborn. I’m not sure how that has happened so quickly, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I love you,
Mommy
